A Most Excellent Adventure

The twists and turns in the adventure of life are intriguing. At times things may begin to seem monotonous–then suddenly everything changes.

Last year I met Pamela. It did not take me long to realize she was extraordinary. Since the first night we closed down a restaurant we have shared many smiles, much laughter, and all sorts of adventures. Eventually I realized that life with Pamela is far richer than life without her.  And so I started ring shopping.

I commissioned a ring with a New York artist. When it arrived here in SLO I didn’t waste any time. The day it was delivered Pam and I took a stroll under the stars on Pismo Beach. We talked about life, we laughed, and it was the world’s worst secret that I was going to propose to her. So there was no surprise, no viral video. Just two people talking on a dark beach while waves crashed to shore.

Yes, it has been a most excellent adventure. I look forward to the future.
