Searching for Truth in Numbers

I’ve been processing data and starting analysis, with the intention of writing soon (very, very soon!). The past week has been a bit of a roller coaster with data analysis. I’m making headway, which is exciting, but right now it is slow going. My main task today is to look at interactions in some factorial ANOVAs. So I’m seeing and thinking about things like this:

By the end of the day I should have a pretty good idea how closely my 2010 and 2011 fungicide efficacy experiments turned out. The initial numbers look good, but I’m still not allowing myself to be happy about it. In addition to comparing years I also need to spend more time looking at the correlation of disease ratings and dry weights in my 2011 study. Considering I invested approximately 150 hours collecting the dry weight data I hope it is useful. . .
