The Champion

As the champion stands in front of an adoring crowd we all wish to be in his shoes. Yet in the dark, lonely, grueling hours of training most of us would walk away. A moment in the spotlight is preceded by hours in the shadows. And that is part of the reason why we want to be a champion. To invest in a task fully. To suffer for a cause. To reap the benefits of our toil. These emotions well up at the sight of the victor. Countless people, however, go through the training and never win.

Love your thoughts on The Champion “moment in the spotlight is preceded by hours in the shadows” so true and many fail to understand that when they “judge or envy” those who are “sucessful” or champions…

Pure Sorrow is very convicting….thanks for the blog…not the normal chatty stuff – you have a delightful mind and I enjoy your depth.
