This weekend the annual Cal Poly Tomato Mania sale was held. I served as the faculty advisor for the student-run project. The students did a great job raising and selling 57 different tomato varieties and hybrids. Friday and Saturday were the main days for the sale, the remaining plants will be sold over the next week at the Poly Plant Shop.
The sale was held at the Poly Plant Shop. Many vegetable transplants and flowers were sold as well.
On Saturday morning I watched a hummingbird exploring the plants at the shop.
I’m glad the sale went well. It’s one more thing to cross off my list of responsibilities for this quarter.
