I have a couple of visitors right now, Rebecca and Anna. They’re touring the coast of California and decided to stop by SLO. Today in the late afternoon we hiked the Bowden Trail to see the view from the peak on the Bowden ranch. The peak is 1,520 feet high, with a 1,120 feet gain in elevation during the hike. The views of SLO and the surrounding peaks and valleys is impressive.
As we were hiking I stated my opinion that we would not be able to see the Pacific from the ridge. We promptly saw the Pacific from the ridge.
Rebecca took a picture of me looking over the valley toward Cal Poly. We also took some pictures as a group, but none of those were on my camera.
I like the Bowden Trail. It’s close to my apartment and the top of the ridge provides great views of SLO and even the Pacific (to my surprise).
